What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

X-Doria Gel Jacket is a clear, slim protective case made specifically for Samsung Galaxy S9. Its one-piece flexible TPU construction follows the phone's shape without covering its original colour and design.

The approximately 1.2 mm thick layer covers the back, corners and sides and helps protect them from scratches and minor everyday impacts.
Flexible material makes the case easy to fit and remove while retaining a close, low-profile shape.
Precisely formed openings leave the camera, fingerprint reader, buttons, speakers and charging port accessible.

The package contains one clear X-Doria Gel Jacket case. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and screen protector are not included.
