What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

A colour that gets noticed

The 3mk Matt Case lime is a matte cover whose lime-yellow finish gives a smartphone instant character. At just 1.2 mm thick it barely adds any bulk, so the phone still slips easily into a pocket, while buttons shaped to the EasyClick Buttons standard stay as responsive as the originals. Wireless charging works with the case left on.

It takes the impact for you

Flexible TPU wraps tightly around the body and spreads the force of a fall. The case carries the Absorber125 rating: in testing, a device protected by it survived 26 drops from a height of 125 cm onto steel and concrete without a single defect. Slightly raised edges keep the screen and the camera lenses clear of the surface, and the close fit keeps sand and dust from working their way in.

It keeps its looks

The matte surface resists scratches, discolouration, dirt and fingerprints. When you want it looking fresh again, simply put it in the washing machine along with your laundry — neither the shape nor the colour will suffer. The material also stands up to alcohol-based cleaning products. Certificates from the Polish National Institute of Hygiene and RoHS confirm that the materials are safe for you and for the environment.
