Tempered glass or hydrogel film — what is the difference?

Tempered glass (9H hardness) protects against drops and scratches and feels like the real screen under your finger. Hydrogel film is thinner and flexible, sits properly on a curved screen and heals surface scratches by itself — but it does not absorb impact. For most phones we recommend tempered glass.

Does a screen protector make the display worse?

No. A good protector has over 99% light transmission and an oleophobic coating that repels fingerprints. Colours and brightness stay the same.

Will a protector interfere with the fingerprint reader?

Tempered glass can slow down an in-display reader slightly. Hydrogel film works better with that technology. Tip: re-register your fingerprints after fitting the protector.

How often should a screen protector be replaced?

Replace it as soon as you see cracks or deep scratches — a cracked protector no longer protects properly. A good one typically lasts 6–12 months.

Description

Crong Anti-Bacterial 3D Armour Glass CRG-AB3DAG-IP14PM is a 0.33 mm full-screen tempered-glass protector made specifically for iPhone 14 Pro Max. Its shaped black border follows the front of the device, while the included frame helps align the glass during installation.

The manufacturer specifies 9H surface hardness and 92% light transmission, and states that the glass was four times stronger than ordinary 9H glass in its laboratory comparison. These are test claims, not a promise of break-proof protection or prevention of every screen crack.
Full-surface adhesive is intended to provide even contact rather than glue only around the edge. Clean and dry the display, remove every dust particle, place the frame correctly and verify alignment before pressing the glass down.
The 3D edge-to-edge shape is intended to cover the active front area and fit most cases. It may still leave a small compatibility clearance and cannot fit every raised case lip; never force a case against the glass if an edge begins to lift.
The antibacterial treatment acts on the treated glass surface. It does not protect the user, disinfect the phone or replace normal hand, screen and case cleaning; avoid making health assumptions from the treatment name.
Actual clarity, touch response and edge appearance depend on a clean, aligned installation and the condition of the screen. Inspect the protector after an impact and replace it carefully if chipped, cracked or lifting, because damaged tempered glass can have sharp edges.

The package contains one screen protector and one installation frame. The iPhone, case and other accessories are not included.
