What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Made for a tablet that goes to work

The black Crong Defender Plus is shaped specifically for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro 10.1-inch. Its rigid polycarbonate shell, flexible silicone cover and front frame form a layered case intended for warehouse, field and workshop use, where carrying and handling the tablet matter as much as setting it down.

Protection around the exposed parts

Reinforced corners and raised edges are designed to help cushion knocks and reduce contact around the screen. Integrated port covers add a barrier against dust and debris at the connectors. These details make the case useful when the tablet moves between a desk, a work area and a bag.

Change orientation without changing the case

The central handle rotates through 360 degrees, letting you switch between portrait and landscape while keeping the case fitted. An adjustable hand strap supports one-handed holding, useful when moving between a checklist, a document and a screen you need to show someone else.

Carry it between tasks

The adjustable, detachable carrying strap gives you another way to take the tablet with you. It is a practical addition for moving around a warehouse or between work areas, leaving the case's hand strap available when it is time to pick up and use the screen again.

A place to read and a place for a stylus

The integrated stand holds the tablet at an angle for reading documentation or viewing the screen at a workstation. A dedicated holder on the shorter upper edge keeps a compatible stylus close to the tablet, so your own pen has a place when you switch from writing to carrying.
