What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Griffin Reveal is a clear ultra-slim case made specifically for iPhone XS Max. Its one-piece transparent polycarbonate shell has an ultrathin rubber lining and clear flexible edges that improve grip and cushion the phone's sides and corners.

The shell adds approximately 1.6 mm of thickness and leaves the phone's original design visible.
The manufacturer reports drop testing from 3 ft, approximately 0.9 m; this is a test rating rather than a guarantee against damage.
Scratch-resistant surfaces and precise openings protect the back while retaining access to the screen, buttons and ports. The case supports wireless charging.

The package contains one clear Griffin Reveal case for iPhone XS Max. The phone and screen protector are not included.
