What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Speck Presidio2 Pro MagSafe with ClickLock is a protective case made specifically for iPhone 15 Pro. The Black / Slate Grey version has a black body with slate-grey details and a matching dark interior. Built-in magnets support MagSafe charging and accessories, while the ClickLock receptacle adds a mechanical interlock with selected Speck ClickLock accessories.

Presidio2 Armor Cloud uses air capsules around the case perimeter to compress during impact. Speck states a test rating of up to 13 feet under manufacturer conditions; this is not a promise that the phone cannot be damaged.
The raised screen and camera edges, reinforced corners and responsive button covers help with everyday use. The matte soft-touch surface improves grip and helps reduce light scratching.
Speck states that the case is made with 50% recycled plastics. Microban antimicrobial product protection applies to the case surface only and does not disinfect the phone or protect the user.
The case works with ordinary Qi and MagSafe charging. Only compatible ClickLock accessories receive the extra mechanical engagement; regular MagSafe accessories use magnetic attachment.
