What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Does a case protect against drops?

ZIZO BOLT Series BOLT-SAMGS23P-BKBK is a black armoured hybrid case set made specifically for Samsung Galaxy S23+. The dual-layer case combines a rigid outer shell with an impact-absorbing inner structure and includes a 0.33 mm tempered-glass screen protector with a stated 9H surface-hardness rating.

The seller states that the patented design, US patent D795,239, was tested for drops from more than 3.5 m onto a hard surface. This is a controlled test claim, not a guarantee against phone or case damage in every fall; protection varies with angle, surface, wear and correct installation.
A fold-out rear kickstand supports hands-free landscape viewing and video calls on a stable surface. Fold it fully away before carrying the phone, do not use it as a lifting handle and stop using the stand if its hinge or latch becomes loose or cracked.
