Frequently asked questions

Does fast charging damage the battery?
No. Phones made from 2020 onwards manage charging speed and temperature themselves, so fast charging is safe for everyday use. If you want to stretch battery life as far as possible, wired charging at a moderate 10–20 W is the gentlest option.
Can I use any USB-C charger?
Yes, USB-C is a common standard. Fast charging, however, only works with a compatible charger (Quick Charge, USB-PD, SuperVOOC). Always use a certified charger — an uncertified one charges slowly and can be unsafe.
Wireless or wired charging — which is better?
Wired is faster and more efficient, because less energy turns into heat. Wireless is more convenient but slower and runs warmer. For long-term battery health wired is slightly better, though with current technology the difference is small.
How powerful a charger do I need?
It depends on the phone: iPhone accepts 20–27 W, Samsung Galaxy 25–45 W, and OnePlus and Xiaomi flagships 80–120 W. There is no need to buy the most powerful one — 20–30 W is enough for most phones and works with everything.
What power bank capacity should I choose?
10,000 mAh covers normal use — two to three full charges. If you travel a lot, 20,000 mAh is the better choice. Check the output power too: 20 W or more means the power bank can fast charge.

A wall charger is a basic everyday item for a phone, a tablet and other small devices. In this category you will find mains chargers for different needs: compact basic chargers, USB-C fast chargers and manufacturers' original chargers, such as Samsung's Super Fast Charging models. Some chargers are sold as the adapter alone, others as a ready package with a charging cable. When choosing, check the charger's connector first: on newer chargers it is usually USB-C, on older ones USB-A. The second essential point is charging power - around 20-25 W is enough for fast charging most phones, as long as the phone supports the fast charging standard the charger uses, USB Power Delivery technology for instance. Check also whether a cable is included and whether its connector (USB-C or Lightning) fits your own device. A quality charger adjusts the charging current automatically to what the device needs, which protects the battery and keeps charging safe in daily use as well.
